Comments:JET2 discriminate against travelers with mobility problems who require a mobility aid over 32kg as this is there policy which to my knowledge no other airline adopts. Which means disabled travelers with the lightest available scooter certified for air travel cannot book a flight with JET2.

I recommend booking with EasyJet or RyanAir who I have found extremely helpful and efficient and have only high recommendation when flying with them, particularly as their policies don't stop me from flying!

Comments:Flew to cork 2/7/07 and returned 9/7/07 the flight both ways was more or less on time. Staff helpful and looked after the passengers. The return flight was diverted to Leeds due to Newcastle closing the runway not Jet2 fault so we went to Leeds refueled and flew back to Newcastle making the flight 2 hours late but it was a lovely flight back to Newcastle on a clear night and we did not have time to climb to high so that was a bonus

Comments:What brilliant service provided by Jet2 from Blackpool airport. We were really pleasantly surprised by the quality of customer service on flight. Nothing was too much trouble for the stewardesses who were friendly and very efficient. They were the best we have ever experienced and we have traveled the world. The aircraft was very clean and comfortable and leg-room was much better than long-haul we did last year. Blackpool airport was a dream to use and we won't hesitate to use this airport again. Altogether a very good experience. Long may Jet2 fly from Blackpool. Hope we get more routes as we like to visit new destinations.

Full marks to Jet2.com.

Comments:We use Blackpool International Airport because it is smaller and much easier to navigate than the huge Manchester Airport.

I can't find a fault at all with jet2, they support regional airports, and the cabin crew are friendly.

When we arrived at T1 at Malaga, we found a jet2 information desk which really was of help.

I hope jet2 expand on their present routes from Blackpool - I will use them.

Comments:We flew from Blackpool, which was a total joy compared to the usual cattle market flying from Manchester.

The flight was on time, and the cabin crew were all very friendly and helpful. I was not impressed by the food provided as it was the same choice of sandwiches on both flights, and there was not much choice for the children - it was ham sandwich or no sandwich for them basically - not sure what they would do if this was not in line with someone's religious beliefs! The aircraft itself was clean and well maintained.

The return flight was delayed slightly (about half an hour) without there being an explanation for this, and there was no one around at Palma to find out. However, apart from that, the flight back was fine.

I would recommend Jet2 and hope they continue to fly from Blackpool with more choice of destinations.

Comments:Faulty engine told to disembark by crew, then abandoned in airport with no help. For several hours sorted out by myself and another elderly gentleman whose wife was disabled.

Crew went to hotel, we were sworn at by a Spanish police officer because we had no idea where to go (children present).

From 7.00pm on friday 29th June 07 we eventually were put in a hotel which was very nice , but the other half of the passengers were put in what they said was a hostel with cockroaches running around and cold.

They were given 6 euros to spend for refreshments the air crew did not want to know until they were virtually forced to come and see us. They made it clear they were not happy.

When we eventually got back to the airport the part for the aircraft that had been flown out from the u.k. was not offloaded so went back, meanwhile the crew hid on the plane .

When we did eventually get them to come and face us again they said they were trying to repair the part.

The very part which had grounded the aircraft on safety reasons, so we the passengers had a show of hands it was unanimous "we were not getting on that aircraft.

They still tried to persuade certain individuals (divide and conquer) but I told them that some of our families in the u.k. had been in touch with the media and this seemed to do the trick.

With the help of a nice Spanish lady who was by now being elevated to sainthood we got a new aircraft.

We all know things do go wrong but the way they treat us was diabolical and I did tell the stewardesses we did not hold them responsible for the aircraft we certainly held them responsible for the way they treat us.

The pilot left the girls to deal with us walking away and hiding behind a pillar (captains and sinking ships come to mind but this one was first in the lifeboat) so we eventually got home to Newcastle at 5.30a.m Sunday.

Everyone absolutely wrecked feeling as though they had never been away all the joy and pleasure had gone.

The Spanish lady said to me we do not treat our people like this and if we did there would hell to pay she was disgusted.

why there was no one from jet 2 from higher up the change of command smacks of managerial cowardice all it would have taken was a little care and compassion.

Thank you for letting me air my story

Comments:I flew to Spain with my wife and four year old daughter by jet2. The outgoing flight was on time, the check in staff were friendly and efficient, and when we boarded the plane the only fault was the leg room between the seats.

the cabin crew were very helpful and friendly and we arrived in Barcelona on time and the baggage was offloaded very quickly .

On the return flight we arrived at Barcelona to check in and there was a breakdown on the baggage conveyor and our baggage had to be offloaded including my daughters buggy to allow repair to the conveyor.

Once our baggage was reloaded the check in lady forgot to reload the buggy, we did not know this had happened until we landed back in Manchester and went to collect our baggage minus the bugg.

The flight was delayed by 45 mins because the plane was late getting to Barcelona but apart from that the return flight was very nice, again with pleasant flight crew, we received the buggy two days later delivered by courier to our home.

I would be happy to travel with jet2 again and would recommend them to others, in my view a good airline.

Comments:From the small survey of travelers I have spoken to I am sure this is a common problem. Having been stung the year before for excess baggage charges, this year we made sure we traveled light (do you really need all those extra clothes?). Weight limit of 18kg each. We weighed in on the way out at 27kg total (9kg under!). Coming back we obviously would have a little extra weight. We weighed the 2 cases at the hotel 31kg (still 5kg under our combined limit). However at Palma airport the scales displayed 41kg, a whopping 10kg out!! And an excess of 5kg, and £25 out of our pockets!! We were not the only ones to be ripped off, 3 of the 4 people in front of us were also in excess and surprisingly by just 5kg, but what can you do if you want to get on the plane? Arriving home we weighed the cases again to be sure and again weighed in at 31kg. I wrote to Jet2 complaining and although I did get a reply, it was the usual 'we are not to blame, our scales are checked every 6 months rubbish'! A nice little earner going on here I think!

Comments:Me my husband and 6 year old daughter flew to Malaga, the flights both ways were on time, no problems checking in ,the staff were nice and friendly, snack boxes are expensive but give you something to do on route, what more could you ask for how cheap it is. Booked a package holiday with them for the winter hope this is as good.

Comments:Just back from Krakow. It is the first time I have flown with them, and I have to say that they compare favourably with the other budget carriers, such as EasyJet and Ryanair.

Flights both ways were on time (albeit it using an old, old 737), but it was comfortable enough, and for the price I paid for the Jet2 flights, I could have no complaints.

All in all a excellent trip, and an airline I would definitely use again!

Comments:After years of traveling to Manchester airport we decided to give our local airport a go this year and we weren't disappointed. The airport itself is small but very efficient and friendly with no delays and very good safety measures. The cafe was good and the duty free shops had a very good selection. We took off on time and had a good flight out, though the in flight sandwiches weren't great, it was after all a low cost airline.

Our home flight was equally good with us arriving back in Blackpool 20 mins early .One passenger was taken ill on the flight and this was dealt with very professionally. All in all a good airline and a brilliant airport

Comments:As a disabled traveller and a user of a mobility scooter, I tried to book with jet2. The policy of the airline, it would seem, is not to carry such disability aids if the all-up weight exceeds 33kg. Dismantling to bring the weight of the heaviest component below 33kg is not accepted by jet2 as an option.

I have been unable to source a disability scooter as light as this, and this effectively means that jet2 is excluding users of thee aids.

I have come across no other airline with this policy
